The 2034 eruption of Mt Adatara was a moderate eruption that occurred during December 2034, and of which was later rated as a VEI 3 by the JMA. It was responsible for the deaths of 9 people, and caused $14 billion in damages, as the resulting pyroclastic flows destroyed much of the surrounding areas around the volcano.
