The 3394 super-eruption of Mt Pinatubo was a VEI 8 super-volcanic eruption, which ran from June 7th to November 19th, killing 4577 people, and injuring 77,000 others in the process.. The total damages from the eruption totaled $126 billion, the costliest natural disaster in the Philippines, and one of the worst eruptions recorded from the Pinatubo volcano in its eruptive history.
